As a nature-based tourism business we have an obligation to protect and re-invest in actions that will ensure future generations have the same opportunity to immerse themselves in nature.

We play an active role in leading the community of Uvita – Bahia Ballena in the implementation of best practices for sustainable marine tourism and responsible community development. We recycle our plastic, glass, paper, and aluminum. We support the local school recycle program, and collaborate with Marino Ballena National Park park rangers and officials in conservation and community service projects. Bahia Aventuras is an active member in the local marine tour operators association and we are constantly implementing the rigorous standards to achieve the most Responsible Operation of Marine Tourism possible, and continue providing visitors the best and most sustainable boat and nature tours in Uvita – Bahia Ballena, Osa, Costa Rica.

I’ve always found whales very strange. Even though I knew a lot, I still learned a few more things. I love nature. I believe my own life has improved more while watching them.

Wonderful whale watching tour. The tour guide and sailors were fantastic and very knowledgeable. We saw the stunning coast line of the Marino Bellena National Park including some amazing rock formations. We were also lucky enough to spend time with a mother and calf humpback whales. It was amazing to see them and learn that the park was a nursery for the young while they get big and strong enough for their migration south. A great experience, highly recommend.

We went on the whale and dolphin tour. Risto was an excellent tour guide, he had loads of knowledge and made sure everyone was happy and comfortable. Bahia Adventures is a proper outfit with excellent facilities, we would highly recommend booking with them.

We are proud to be part of The Bahia Ballena Plastic-Free. This Initiative seeks to reduce and discourage the consumption of single-use plastics. We are working on promoting and providing alternatives and viable solutions to meet the needs covered by plastic with the use of other environmentally-friendly materials for the operation of our tours .
Bringing together different cultures
Our tours and community service projects bring people together in interactions that allow travelers to experience the real culture and lifestyles of the local people. Through these interactions we enhance people-to-people understanding and grow friendships between people of different countries, languages, cultures, religions, socio-ecnomic classes and political outlooks with an emphasis on equality among all humans regardless of personal circumstances.
